Information for NGOs
As our light offers solutions to problems in the developing world, it complements the great and hard work of the various Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs). Our lights have been developed with your specific requirements in mind and we will work with you to help you reach your goals in a cost-effective way.
Benefits of Flexiway Solar-powered LED lights for NGOs
What if your relief or long-term aid would yield immediate social and financial benefits as well as financial returns of over 1000%… per year? How would your donors react? Please click the tabs below to see the details and all the benefits that a cooperation with FSS can offer to your organisation and use the contact form below to send us your questions and requests:
Our light will help you reach your goals.
Your organisation might have broad goals or you might be focused focused on one or more specific problems such as:
Reducing poverty, creating additional income, on education, gender equality or reducing health problems.
Our solar-powered light covers it all.
Due to the positive & multiplying effects of replacing kerosene lamps by Solar-powered LED lights, your small one-time investment will yield huge benefits for those you want to assist.
Long-term effects
Your help will not be limited to a one-off band-aid, but will last for years to come, bringing increasing and multiplying benefits with each day of sunshine. This in turn will enforce your relationship with your supporters and donors as they see the long-term effects of their donations.
Perfect for aid packages and emergency relief
If your NGO is (partly) focused on emergency relief, you could order extra and store our lamps in your national or local distribution centres easily.
One cubic metre (35 cubic feet) will hold over 2750 packaged lights, so you can have tens of thousands of light locally, ready to be delivered to whichever of your projects needs it the most.
Ready to go, even after months
The lights are delivered partly pre-charged and we use low-discharge batteries. Once fully charged, they will still be working out of the box months later. This means that even if they get unpacked at the end of the day after months in storage and transit, they can still provide light up for up to an hour or even more. After the next day’s full top-up charge in the sun, they will last 1-2 nights as usual.
Perfect size for relief packages and emergency storage
Our light is small (9x9x2.5cm / 3.5×3.5×1 inch!) and light enough (about 120 grams/ a quarter pound each) to be included in even the most basic care packages. Besides medicine and food, light is a very important item and when using our solar-powered LED light you don’t have to worry about the costs and re-supplies of kerosene and other lighting fuels. Over 2750 lights fit in one cubic metre (35ft3), so you will have less shipping and storage costs.
Branding & marketing
Though our light is small, it offers great marketing opportunities. Against a one-time cost (which will be waived for large orders), we will make a special mould for your organisation.
This way, all lights you order will have your logo on the front of the actual unit and we can even change colours of the casing if requested.
This will not only create trust in the countries you work in, but it will also enhance visibility of your projects. Local partners, people in need, colleagues and even your visiting supporters will know where the light came from and whom to contact for more.
You will receive the credit for bringing light and opportunity where it is needed the most.
Connect with your donors
You can also start special actions with your donors and supporters, for example they can order the light themselves and by doing this, they will automatically donate a light to your project. You can also award yearly contributions with a branded light etc. Not only is our light very useful, but your supporters might save more in energy costs than they donated.
NGO’s get our lights at the lowest cost possible.
NGO’s have the experience and operational strengths to help us reach our goal as well: replacing all kerosene lamps by Solar-powered LED lights.
Therefore we support the work of the NGO’s by supplying our lights against the lowest costs possible. We are positive your projects will benefit from our unique products and you will order more lights later. If your order is large enough we will include shipping costs and possibly even the additional costs for a personalized mould with your logo. The small size lowers transportation and storage costs, over 2750 lights fit in one cubic metre (35 ft3)!
…sometimes even for free
Additionally, any donated lights that we generate will be divided amongst our partners, see the next tab: Donations
We will work with you to generate donations for your NGO
Most of our NGO partners are registered charities, which means that donations are often tax-deductible. After your order we will add your logo and description to our partners page (if you want).
We will link to your website and projects and can integrate your donation pages in our website, so that our visitors who want to help out can directly donate to your NGO.
This way, you will receive 100% of the donations from supporters that want to help to bring light. The donations will be tax deductible for our site visitors, who will already have learned about the benefits our lights and your projects can bring together.
Flexiway donates lights
Through special actions and by selling the light directly, we will generate additional lights to donate to NGO’s and charities. We will divide these amongst our NGO partners, or send them to the place where they are needed the most.

Facts & Wisdom
So far, business, or capitalism, for the most part, has been a means of making money for the directors of a company and its shareholders, rarely about doing good. The means by which that money has been made have not been as important as the end result – the damage that might be inflicted on humanity and the environment. We must work hard to change that.
